Electronic Tool - Wrenches

Different wrenches are part of the essential tool that you, a student, hobbyist, or an enthusiast needs to add to your list of available tools.

It is a very versatile tool that can be used in various electronic projects and repair works.  Wrenches comes in different shapes and sizes, with each serving a specific purpose, but primarily it is used to provide torque, to turn nuts and bolts.

Types and functions

First, is the adjustable wrench. This wrench has jaws that can be adjusted to fit a wide range of bolts and, it is a very versatile tool and can be used for different applications.  

Second, which is also a popular type, is the combination wrench, it has an open-end on one side and a box-end on the other that allows for increased torque when tightening or loosening nuts and bolts.

Third, is the socket wrench, that can be considered as a regular tool in electronic and computer repair works. It is a type of wrench with interchangeable sockets that can fit to different bolt or screw heads.

Fourth, Allen wrench is also becoming common in this modern-day technology, commonly used to lock and fasten devices that can only be opened by specialized tool, due to the equipment/devices special function and purpose. 

Fifth is known as impact wrench, it is a type of wrench that uses compressed air or powered by electricity, it is commonly used in automotive repairs and construction work, and I really doubt if you would ever need one in electronics work. 

Maintenance

Proper care and maintenance of every tool is essential to ensure that it remains functional. this can be performed regular cleaning and lubrication to prevent rust and being stacked-up when not in use for a prolonged time. 

Well, that's it, although this tool may not be used regularly as a screwdriver, it is a must have, especially the socket type wrench, given that we will never know when it can be come handy, since there are some equipment now days that would require a wrench from time-to-time.
